ABOUT TOWN SQUARE

TOWN SQUARE is a volunteer community-based 501(c)(3) organization in Greenpoint and Williamsburg, Brooklyn, two neighborhoods experiencing dynamic changes.  Founded in 2004, our mission is to build a vibrant community and enrich the quality of our lives through activities that inspire creativity and imagination, teach respect and cooperation, and celebrate the joy around us.

We’re responsible for many family events and programs in Greenpoint and Williamsburg including our now famous Go Green! Brooklyn festival, seasonal Greencycle Swaps, Schoolfest, SummerStarz outdoors film series, Spring Egg Hunt, Greenpoint Children's Halloween Parade & Party, Zombie Nerf War, Santa Brunch and more. We also offer Go Green BK Digital Hub, that organizes local environmental stories, events and resources into one central year-round listing to increase participation in environmental programs and make our community a better place to live.
